Zubab Rana’s unstoppable journey in showbiz began from modeling. She was a force to be reckoned with on the ramp and otherwise. Her livewire screen presence, her effervescent personality, and her acting skills solidified her status as one of the best emerging talents of the year. Zubab’s debut performance was followed by drama serial Mere Khudaya, where she played the character of Aleena. It went to become her most famous performances to date. Zubab received acclaim from critics and audiences alike. It was a role that had grey shades to it and Zubab executed it with all the nuances that were required to pull off a character like that. She was nominated in the category of Best Emerging Talent at Lux Style Awards.
After another knockout performance in the horror drama series Bandish, Zubab Rana took her career to new heights when she landed the part of Zeba in Rishtay Biktay Hain. The industry’s rising star came back to our television screens with a story that dealt with the topic of dowry and the effects that it can leave on the life of a married woman. It is a social commentary about how the practice of dowry is an evil that continues to pollute our society from within.
Zubab lives and breathes the character of Zeba with perfection. She is an innocent girl who gets married but gets entangled in the quicksand of dowry and how it ruins her life. The drama is a successful depiction of people who have greed in their hearts and the lengths that they can go to for their own selfish purposes.
Rishtay Biktay Hain has been a runaway success right from its first episode. The drama serial received the admiration and nod of approval from everyone who could relate to the subject matter and the performances. Zubab’s portrayal of Zeba was heartfelt, genuine and came from a very honest place which was why so many people felt connected to her.
The drama serial broke the ratings record with a whopping 13.4 TRPs and more than 1.2 million views on YouTube. It performed better than anyone had expected and cemented its place in the hearts of its viewers.
