Have you heard about someone being born just on the boundary line of India and Pakistan and contemplated their nationality? I mean what about their passports or identity cards?
That is one complicated thing to wonder but Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza seem to have figured it all out. The duo are a perfect example of mutual understanding and respect and they have applied it to their baby. Talking to Media at Gaddafi Stadium, lahore, the cricket star Shoaib Malik said that his child would have neither nationalities and he would rather have the baby another nationality (Probably to avoid the fuss because both of us- India and Pakistan- nations are fussy).
Furthering his statement, he added that he has taken permission from his team to be with his wife, Sania Mirza, at the time of the birth. Shoaib Malik seems to be over the moon to become a parent and wants a daughter meanwhile Sania Mirza also previously told that she and her husband have decided to give a surname ‘Mirza-Malik’ to their child.
‘I will tell you a secret. My husband and I have spoken about it and we have decided that whenever we have a child, the child will have Mirza-Malik as a surname and not just Malik. So that’s where we stand as a family. He actually wants a daughter,” Sania had said.’
As we have known, the tennis Star, Sania Mirza hasn’t changed her surname after marriage either in honor of her family. It was only predictable that the baby was not going to be unfairly divided in surnames or nationalities. To avoid any identity crises for the child in future, the decision seems to be very plausible and intelligent!
Well, we hope that everything goes fine for the sports-star couple and their baby!
