Cheekh is a Big Bang Entertainment project, directed by Badar Mehmood and produced by the duo of Fahad Mustafa and Dr. Ali Kazmi. Starring Saba Qamar as Mannat, Bilal Abbas Khan as Wajih and Emmad Irfani as Shayan, Cheekh is a drama revolving around revenge, love and a fight for justice.
Let’s begin with the characters and their epic acting in the drama
With episode 21, Mannat’s lawyer has asked for Wajih’s DNA samples to be tested against Nayab’s forensic reports. This new twist in the case has gotten varying reactions from everyone.
Yawar is on the verge of losing his composure. He regrets leaving his wife and he is finding it hard to support Wajih for all his actions.
Bilal Abbas Khan as Wajih is an acting prodigy and the way he behaves, moves with the character, and delivers his dialogues, adds the spice to the entire drama. He is the man standing tall in all the crisis, even though he knows he has done the crime.
Shayan and Mannat on the other hand are trying to keep hold of their emotions. They are having quite a hard time coping with the loss of their unborn child, while still fighting for justice.
Haya, in the middle of all the fuss of the case, has taken an entirely different turn. She is helping Ramazan chacha in his hard times by renting them a house, taking his kids for shopping and paying for their education as well.
Mannat’s mother is one of the highlights of the episode with her perfect
acting, pouring out the perfect emotions.
Mannat’s mother is receiving threatening calls, asking her to stop Mannat from going to the court or she will be shot dead. These calls have shaken her and as a mother, she is now begging and pleading Shayan and Mannat to step back from the case. But all her pleas go in vain. As Shayan and Mannat leave their home for the court, Mannat’s mother can only pray for their safety.
The episode ends with her receiving one final threat and she might be the person bringing out a major plot twist in the next episode.
