What an amazing start! There is not a moment in the episode where the audience could have shifted their eyes or felt bored. The cast, the acting and the story line were all spot on. It’s like the creative duo, Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, is super focused and know exactly what the need of an hour is!
Under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment, Darr Khuda Se has been written by Sarwat Nazir, directed by Anjum Shahzad and stars Sana Javed as Afreen and Imran Abbas as Shahwaiz in lead roles.
The story is a bold take on our society’s flaw against working women and what they go through on an everyday basis if they step outside their house.
Imran Abbas plays a womanizer role in the drama whose wife is older than him and is also shown ill. This may be the reason he is free to eye other women. His character has been made clear from the very first episode as he also has eyes for his maid.
As for Sana Javed, she plays as Afreen who works in Shahwaiz’s office. Her character has some of the most intriguing moments; she is helpless, she is afraid, she is weak but when the world surrounding her turns bad, she becomes strong, powerful and ready to fight back.
Every time Shahwaiz advances her, she stays strong and shows him his right place.
It is anticipated that the drama is going to get super interesting in the upcoming episodes because Shahwaiz finds it fun to chase her and every time she refuses him, his desire to get her increases drastically.
So all in all, a great drama with a great social awareness for everyone – Darr Khuda Se, because you reap what you sow.
